Month-to-month · Local engineers · Scope and responsibilities documented

A complete control routine

Controls

Firewall, endpoints, identities, and email configured around your environment.

Operations

Updates, reviews, monitoring, and escalation with named responsibilities.

Evidence

Plain-language documentation for internal oversight, clients, and insurance questionnaires.

Security tools are only useful when someone operates them.

01

Security tools are installed, but no one has clear responsibility for reviewing, updating, and monitoring them.

02

Remote work, cloud accounts, and employee devices have expanded the environment you need to protect.

03

Cyber insurance, client requirements, or a recent incident have exposed gaps that need a practical remediation plan.

Effective Cybersecurity is an operating routine, not a single appliance or software licence. Controls need an owner, updates need a schedule, alerts need an escalation path, and response responsibilities need to be agreed before an incident.

NVG scopes managed Cybersecurity around your existing environment and internal responsibilities. We can manage network, endpoint, identity, and email controls while documenting what is covered, what is monitored, and how incidents are escalated.

Protect the places where work actually happens.

Your assessment determines which layers NVG manages and which remain with your internal team or another provider. We document those boundaries before service begins.

01

Managed firewall & VPN

Firewall policy administration, rule reviews, firmware and security updates, log monitoring, and secure remote access for supported equipment.

02

Endpoint protection & containment

Managed endpoint detection and response options, threat investigation, and device isolation where supported by the selected tools and configuration.

03

Identity & multifactor authentication

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace security configuration, MFA rollout, account hardening, and access reviews aligned with your policies.

04

Email & phishing protection

Email security configuration, anti-phishing controls, and practical guidance for verifying suspicious requests and reporting messages.

05

24/7 monitoring & escalation

Continuous monitoring for supported systems with priority-based escalation. Incident-response responsibilities and any customer-specific targets are defined in the agreement.

06

Cyber-insurance readiness

Control reviews, remediation planning, and documentation support for insurance questionnaires. Your insurer determines requirements, eligibility, coverage, and pricing.

Know what happens after an alert—before you need to know.

A monitoring commitment is not a blanket promise to investigate and resolve every incident immediately. Your service agreement separates detection, escalation, containment, and recovery so responsibilities are explicit.

01

Monitor

Supported systems are monitored 24/7 for the events and conditions covered by the selected tools and service configuration.

02

Escalate

Alerts are prioritized and routed according to the agreed escalation path, with customer-specific targets documented where applicable.

03

Respond

Investigation, isolation, remediation, and recovery responsibilities are assigned by tool, system, and incident type in the agreement.

Turn the questionnaire into a practical control review.

We can help map requested controls to your current environment, identify gaps, plan remediation, and organize supporting evidence. Your insurer or broker remains responsible for determining requirements, eligibility, coverage, and pricing.

A useful readiness file can include

Control inventory
The tools, systems, responsibilities, and coverage currently in place
Policy evidence
Relevant MFA, firewall, backup, access, and incident-response settings or procedures
Operational records
Available review, update, monitoring, restore-test, and escalation records
Remediation plan
Prioritized gaps, owners, dependencies, and target dates—not a promise of approval

Assess first. Prioritize what matters. Operate the agreed controls.

  1. Step 1

    Assess

Review systems, accounts, devices, existing tools, current providers, and internal responsibilities.

  2. Step 2

    Prioritize

Identify material gaps and separate urgent remediation from ongoing operational work.

  3. Step 3

    Define

Document covered systems, responsibilities, escalation paths, projects, and the fixed monthly quote.

  4. Step 4

    Operate & review

Run the agreed control routine and revisit alerts, changes, risks, and priorities.

What does managed Cybersecurity include?

The service can include managed firewall and VPN, endpoint protection, identity and MFA, email security, 24/7 monitoring for supported systems, and cyber-insurance readiness work. Your quote defines the exact tools, systems, responsibilities, and coverage.

Does 24/7 monitoring mean NVG responds to every incident immediately?

No. Monitoring and incident response are different commitments. NVG provides 24/7 monitoring for supported systems and priority-based escalation. Investigation, containment, remediation, and any response-time targets are documented in the service agreement rather than assumed from a generic public SLA.

Can you isolate an infected device automatically?

Supported endpoint tools can be configured to isolate a device when defined detection conditions are met. The exact behaviour depends on the selected platform, policy, and deployment. We explain the configured containment actions and the remaining investigation and recovery responsibilities.

Can you work with our existing firewall and security tools?

Often, yes. We first assess supportability, licensing, administrative access, current configuration, and vendor requirements. We recommend replacement only where the existing tools cannot support the agreed service or security requirements.

Will this satisfy our cyber-insurance requirements?

We can review your questionnaire, map existing controls, identify gaps, and help document the environment. Requirements vary by insurer and policy, and NVG cannot guarantee eligibility, approval, coverage, or premiums. Your insurer or broker makes those determinations.

How is Cybersecurity priced?

After a free assessment, NVG provides a fixed monthly quote for the agreed ongoing scope. Pricing depends on users, devices, systems, tools, responsibilities, and coverage. One-time assessment or remediation projects are quoted separately.

Is the service month-to-month?

Yes. Ongoing managed Cybersecurity is offered month-to-month. The agreement defines the systems, operational responsibilities, escalation paths, and any response commitments included in your service.
